Major scope of the position

As Procurement Lead, you are a hands‑on procurement professional responsible for executing and continuously improving TSC Life’s purchasing activities. You lead a small purchasing team (2 FTE) and combine operational procurement with strategic sourcing, supplier management, and team leadership.
Your overall objective is to ensure supply continuity in a cost‑efficient and compliant manner, within a highly regulated environment (ISO 13485 / MDSAP). You work closely with cross‑functional stakeholders and play a key role in supporting TSC Life’s growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

  • Execute purchasing and sourcing activities, with a focus on raw materials and contract manufacturing
  • Lead complex, high‑impact sourcing and supplier selection projects
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Identify and implement cost‑saving and value‑improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to and support the implementation of the purchasing strategy

Supplier Management & Development

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key suppliers
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance (quality, cost, lead time, reliability)
  • Lead supplier evaluation, qualification, and selection processes
  • Drive supplier development and risk‑mitigation initiatives (e.g. dual sourcing)
  • Ensure supplier compliance with ISO 13485 / MDSAP and internal quality standards
  • Support supplier audits and maintain accurate documentation

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Drive team performance aligned with company procurement objectives
  • Conduct performance evaluations and support the development of team members
  • Act as the first point of contact and escalation within the team
  • Coordinate daily priorities and activities of the purchasing team
    (2 FTE based in Amsterdam and Tours)

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the main procurement point of contact in cross‑functional projects
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality & Regulatory, Engineering/R&D and Finance
  • Translate business and technical requirements into effective sourcing solutions

Data, Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of purchasing data in ERP/MRP systems
  • Monitor and report on procurement KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, OTIF)
  • Drive data‑driven decision making within procurement
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in purchasing processes and supplier base

Your profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in procurement / purchasing
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiations
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as MedTech, Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and category management
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Basic contract and legal knowledge
  • Familiarity with quality and regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 13485)
